Degree Poker
In 2002, CTV contracted WhistleStop Productions to produce the first poker broadcast in Canada for both TSN and ESPN International. There was a snag. Not only would it be the first poker series produced for TSN, but ESPN’s needs would require that the series would also have to be produced in High Definition. As a result, WhistleStop Productions was one of the first independent production companies in Canada to work in High Definition. As a result the Degree Poker Championship was seen in over 38 countries around the world.
